Feelings of the very moment
Hello there :)
Now our work has been made here! The last day at nursing home was soooo emotional :/
Kind of, you just lived in a moment other days while working, but in the last day- you suddenly realized that you might never see these residents and working stuff again :´( Feelings got jumping from homegoing-happiness to miserable goodbye... So, in the last day, I said to people there that I hate goodbyes, so we made a deal that we´ll just say "see you" and smile!! But did it go as planned? Well, no. Couldn´t prevent my tears falling. I got so many success feelings in that house, got to know so wonderful people in the elderly and the stuff that it is not easy to leave with the knowledge of that the game will go on here and I´m no longer a part of it. Loved this experience and would do it again!! For anyone who considers leaving to on-the-job learning abroad- I´d say- GO FOR IT !! Everything won´t go as planned, surprises will definitely appear, but for sure-you´ll get something that you´ll remember the rest of your life <3
And now, we´re having few days left here in Malta.
On tuesday, we will go to mental health institution in Floriana to get more information about mental health caring here in Malta. (We´ve been there once before and liked it very much!)
Then these few last days, we´ll be hunting some homecoming gifts for our dears in Finland and trying to catch the sunlight to bags for the dark winter months survival aids ;D
Love going home on thursday <3 Thank you for reading my texts!
